Laser Grading

Since the early 1990's this process has been one of the most popular services for field renovation and construction. By laser grading, you not only achieve the most accurate mean final grading possible (usually within 1/8 inch), but it saves the additional expense of extra materials to make up for the improper grading of subgrades. Our laser grading equipment is automatically controlled by combining hydraulic and electronic equipment that corrects itself up to 900 times per minute.

Infield And Clay Construction

From Dixie Youth Fields to Professional Facilities, we can handle any infield situation. As much as 90% of the game is played on the clay and most often this is the worse part of the entire field. From a safety standpoint it is important to have an infield that is not only attractive, but it be free from bad "hops" and "lips". Our work is done using automatic laser guided grading equipment and industry standard grooming equipment. Our efforts are to assure you the most reliable infield playing surface possible.

Homeplate And Mound Construction

We can build to your specification or renovate your existing mound or homeplate areas to meet your desired level of performance. All work is performed using laser measurement techniques to ensure accuracy. Specialized equipment and materials are utilized to achieve optimum results and improved playability during inclimate weather thus reducing rain delays and/or rain outs.

Soil Analysis And Amending

Soil Analysis - samples are taken from various locations of the site and sent to university extension labs for analysis of soil pH and nutrient levels.

Soil Amending - based upon soil analysis results we provide the products and services to amend existing soil to meet analysis recommendations.

Overseeding Programs

Wilson & Associates offers overseeding of Bermudagrass or slit-seeding in troubled areas of your field. We only use Premium Grass Seed in our Programs, whether it is Hybrid Bermudagrass Seed or Perennial and Annual Ryegrass selections in the fall. Our Overseeding Programs include complete fertilization and bio-stimulant applications to insure optimum results.

Deeptine and Shallow Aerification

Seasonal play, frequent mowing, and other equipment traffic causes the soil to be compact. Aeration procedures increase air, water, and fertilizer exchange in the soil as well as reducing compaction and thatch. We provide everything from Core Aerification methods to Shallow Solid Tine and Deep Tine Aerification.

Topdressing

During spring and summer, bermudagrass athletic fields require topdressing and/or releveling. Laser grading equipment is the most effective means of releveling the existing playing surface available. The type of material and amounts used will depend upon what the particular application is intended to address (ie: promoting turf recovery, leveling, or rebuilding the crown). Most of all, topdressing aids in turf density, vigor, and overall health.
